I hate that argument about slavery…
“Well, you know African[s] enslaved their own people and sold them to the whites.”
Yes, I do know that. I ALSO know that slavery in Africa was an act of war, not an act of Capitalism like it was in America. And I also know that when Africans enslaved other Africans, they absorbed them into their community. They didn’t dehumanize them and abuse them and work them damn near to death with no light at the end of the tunnel like what was done in America.
Two different systems of slavery. Please don’t ever say that to me. The argument is stale, hackneyed and easily cleared up by a little research.
